How to right-size your Master Spa swim spa

You wouldn’t buy a new pair of shoes that didn’t fit you properly –  and if you did you probably wouldn’t wear them very often. Or, ever. The same goes for your Master Spa swim spa. Having a spa that not only fits your lifestyle but also your body type, and your families dynamic is incredibly  important. While all swim spas are a beautiful combination of a hot tub and a swimming pool, not all are the perfect fit for you! So, before you fall in love with just any one… here are three things to consider and one must-do, to find the perfect swim spa for you.

Size

Where do you plan on putting your swim spa? If space is an issue then a smaller spa may be ideal for you. It can be as compact or as large as you want, with sizes ranging from 10 to 21 feet long.

Height

Your height can be one of the biggest factors that influences the size of spa you need. If you’re 6 foot tall or taller, a swimming area of 10 feet is not ideal for you. When you’re shopping, a good rule of thumb is to take your height and multiply it by two. The number is the smallest length you should choose.

For most swimmers, the ideal length is fourteen feet. This length is ideal because it provides an adequate amount of room for more than one occupant and accommodates most heights.

Occupants

Knowing who will be sharing the spa with you can help determine how big it should be. If you have a partner who would like to join you in exercising, a larger swim spa will allow your partner to exercise in the spa side while you swim or vice-versa. Luckily, they are very roomy and most models can accommodate everyone.

Test Swim

Your one must-do? Visiting a spa dealer that will allow you to take a test swim. Everyone has their own swim style and every swim spa feels differently. Knowing which one will work best for you is the ultimate deciding factor. When you go on your test swim, don’t go alone. Bring everyone who will regularly share your spa with you, so you can give the spa an adequate test.
