Finding time to relax and enjoy quality time with your family can be difficult for the average family! Life gets busy and having a good balance between work, family, and relaxing can be a real juggling act! However, you can be assured that family time and relaxing can both be accomplished by a simple act of turning on your hot tub. As soon as they hear the roar of the jets, the vacant seats of your hot tub will be filled with loved ones before you finish setting up! Here are four fun ways to keep your children in a hot tub entertained while enjoying a relaxing time!
Would you rather?
Materials:
This game requires no special materials…just your imaginations!
How to play:
Have one person designated as the question asker. The question asker will begin each question with the words “Would you rather…” followed by fun and exciting options. For example…Would you rather parachute off the Eiffel Tower or dive down into an underwater cave? Give time for each person to give their answer of why they would rather do one over the other. This is a great way to learn more about your kids or even spouse!
Musical chairs
Materials needed:
Waterproof Bluetooth speaker
Bluetooth enabled mp3 player or phone
How to play:
This is a hot tub take of the traditional musical chairs game! Have one person assigned to play the music and let the fun begin! Each time the music stops find a seat that is still in play. After each round, turn off the jets for one seat to indicate that it is no longer in play.
Grocery List
Materials:
None required.
How to play:
Start the game with the youngest player in the group. Begin by saying “I went to the store and bought a/an”…followed by an item of their choice. The next player will add to the list by repeating what the first person said and adding an item of their choosing. For example: “I went to the store and bought an apple and a banana.” Each additional player will add an item until someone misquotes the long list of items bought at the store.
Dodge Duck
Materials:
Rubber Ducks
How to play:
This game is very similar to dodge ball! Place several rubber ducks in the center of your hot tub and turn on the jets! Try to keep from getting hit by the rubber ducks. If a rubber duck does touch you, you are out!
Enjoy your children in a hot tub even more by implementing each of these fun-filled games!
